LR Grade AH40 DH40 EH40 FH40 Marine Steel Plate

Marine steel plate refers to structural steel used in ship building.
It is considered a marine grade and must be able to resist corrosive
effects that are common in a water environment. To achieve this,
special alloying elements are added to these grades in order to
defend agaist corrosion. While most carbon steel is not suited for
marine environments, there are several marine grade carbon steels
that have been approved by the different societies for shipbuilding applications.

LR Grade AH40 Marine Steel Plate

LR DH40 steel is a kind of hot rolled high tensile strength steel.
Higher-strength LR shipbuilding steel comes in 12 grades of 3 strengths,
DH40 is one of the grades.
The LR DH40 grade steel plates have yield strength of 56,500 psi (390 MPa),
and ultimate tensile strength of 74,000 - 94,500 psi (510-650 MPa).
